Standard-Definition Video Distribution

RG6 Co-axial cable is the most cost effective method of video distribution and has an advantage over all the other video-cable types in that it is capable of carrying multiple TV channels at the same time, like 2, 3, 47, 73, etc., and TVs have 'tuners' in them to separate these channels. This allows you to combine multiple sources in different locations onto the same line on different channels, then you can then pick the one you want at the TV end using the built-in tuner.

The limitation of using RG6 for Video Distribution is that it is only capable of carrying Standard Definition signals. To view our Standard Definition vs. High Definition tutorial click HERE

With this type of system a device called a modulator is used to transmit the video signal of choice on the desired cable TV channel. An independent modulator input is required for each video source. These modulators are available in single and multiple input versions depending on how many source components you want to distribute from any given location.

If this is the type of system you would like to use, simply add an additional TV line at each location you want to have distributed video source equipment.
